A handful of pressed apple pulp falling back onto the pile

A next-gen material based on what the juice industry leaves behind

Leap is a next-gen material with up to 91% USDA certified biobased content, based on apple pulp. Supplied by the linear meter in 1.4 m usable width, produced in Germany, in stock.

Three layers, one material

Each layer does a job, and each one can be adjusted and talked about openly. Every component is well documented and easy to backtrack.

The three layers of Leap shown as offset squares: finishing coating in front, apple pulp blend behind it, textile backing at the back
01

Finishing coating

Partly biobased, partly waterborne PU. This is the layer that takes the wear, holds the texture and keeps the color. It is also the layer we are constantly improving.

02

Apple pulp blend

Apple pulp from European juice producers, natural rubber, and other biobased ingredients. 1.8 kg of apple pulp goes into every square meter. Pressing leaves 25 to 30 percent of the fruit behind, and for the juice producer that is a disposal cost.

03

Textile backing

TENCEL™ Lyocell for a soft, smooth hand, or 100% recycled polyester where you need maximum stretch.

TENCEL™ is a trademark of Lenzing AG.

Familiar in the hand, different on the label

Leap has a supple handle and the kind of grain that reads as considered rather than printed. The surface can be smooth, textured or colored. Designers who work with it tend to describe it the same way: it behaves like a material we know well, not like a substitute.

This is the part no spec sheet can settle. Request a sample and decide for yourself.

Two lines, built for different applications

Same apple pulp base, same line in Germany. What changes between the two is construction, weight and hand.

Made in Germany, shipped from Denmark

Leap is produced on rolls with 1.4 m usable width, at a capacity of 100,000 lm per year. Rolls ship from Denmark. Minimum order is only 1 linear meter. Production orders are quoted by the linear meter, with pricing that sits alongside premium leather rather than below it.

We are a supplier, not a marketplace. If you are planning a volume program, talk to us early and we will plan capacity around your timeline.
