Cookie policy

This page covers explore-leap.com. It says which cookies we set, what each one is for, how long it stays, and how to change your mind at any time. Written to the Danish Executive Order on Cookies and the GDPR, in plain language rather than boilerplate.

What cookies are

The vocabulary, so the table below is readable without a law degree.

Cookies
A small text file a site asks your browser to store, so it can recognise that browser again. It cannot read other files on your device and it cannot run programs.
Session and persistent
A session cookie disappears when you close the browser. A persistent one stays until it expires or you delete it. The expiry of every cookie we set is in the table below.
First and third party
First party cookies are set by explore-leap.com. Third party cookies are set by another company whose service runs on the page, such as Google or HubSpot. Both are listed.
Similar technologies
Pixels, tags, software development kits and browser storage such as localStorage do the same job by other means. The law treats them the same way and so do we, so read cookie here as any of them.
What we do not do
We do not use device fingerprinting, we do not set cookies that read your other browsing, and we do not buy or sell cookie data.

Cookies we use

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser next time. The same rules apply to comparable technologies such as pixels and local storage, and we treat them the same way here.

If you say no

Every page, every specification, every download and the sample request form work exactly the same. Nothing on this site is behind a consent wall, and you will not be asked again on every visit. What we lose is insight into which pages are worth writing, and that is our problem to solve, not yours to pay for.

A hash or a random string in a name means the rest of it varies by property or account. The webshop closed in August 2026, so the payment and checkout cookies that used to appear here are gone with it. Nothing on this site takes a payment any more. Grouped rows share a provider and a purpose. Ask us and we will send the complete scan this list was reconciled against.

Controls in your browser

Our panel governs what we set. Your browser governs everything already stored.

You can see, block and delete cookies in your browser settings, for this site or for all sites. Blocking all cookies will break some functions on many sites, though not the reading of this one.

One side effect worth knowing: deleting cookies for this site also deletes the record of your consent, so you will be asked again on your next visit. That is the record doing its job, not a reset of your preference.

Third parties and transfers

Who else gets data through these cookies, and where that data goes.

Some of the providers above are established in the United States. Where data is transferred there, the transfer rests on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses as a fallback. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards that apply to a specific provider.

We do not sell personal data. Google Ads cookies do let Google re-engage visitors who look likely to become customers, and the Apollo script identifies the company behind a visit for our sales team. Both are marketing, both need your consent, and declining costs you nothing on this site. Each provider also processes the data for its own purposes, set out in its own privacy notice.

How long we keep it

A cookie expiring is not the same as the data being deleted, so both are stated here.

Analytics data
Google Analytics 4 deletes it automatically after the retention period set on our property, counted from your last visit. Ask us and we will tell you the period currently set.
Contact and enquiry data
If you send us an enquiry, that record lives in HubSpot for as long as there is a live commercial relationship, and for a defined period after our last contact, after which it is deleted. Ask us and we will tell you the current period.
Consent records
Twelve months, so we can show what you agreed to while that consent was in force.
Server logs
Our host keeps technical logs, which can include IP addresses, to keep the site secure and available. These are not cookies, they are not used for marketing, and we do not link them to cookie data.
No profiling
We do not make automated decisions about you and we do not build behavioural profiles. Nothing on this site decides anything about you without a person involved.
The newsletter is separate
Subscribing is its own consent, given by entering your email, and it is not covered by a cookie choice. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

Your rights

Write to us and we answer within a month, usually much sooner.

What you can ask for
A copy of the data we hold about you, correction of anything wrong, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and objection to processing. You can also withdraw your consent at any time.
How to ask
Email hello@beyondleather.dk. No form, no template. Tell us what you want and we handle it.
If we get it wrong
You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby. See datatilsynet.dk. We would rather you told us first.
What it costs
Nothing. We answer within one month, and if a request is genuinely complex we may take up to two months more, in which case we tell you why inside the first month.
Proving who you are
If we cannot tell that a request comes from you, we will ask for something that establishes it. We ask for the minimum and we do not keep it afterwards.
More detail
How we handle personal data beyond cookies is covered in our privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

Version 2.1, 1 September 2026. It replaces all earlier cookie policies for explore-leap.com.

We review this page whenever we add or remove a tool that sets cookies, and at least once a year. The date above always shows the version you are reading. Version 2.1 removed the payment and checkout cookies, because the webshop closed.

If a change means we need a new purpose or a new provider, we ask for your consent again rather than treating the old answer as covering it. Small corrections, such as a provider renaming a cookie, are made without asking. Earlier versions are available on request.
